Our hotel

The Hotel Landhaus Knappmann is located in the heart of the Ruhr Valley with good connections to the whole region.

Therefore, not only internal city destinations, such as the fair Essen, are easy to reach, but also corresponding hubs, for example, to quickly get to the state capital Düsseldorf. In addition, our immediate surroundings impress with a lot of nature, which offers the perfect opportunity for hikes or bike tours of any kind. (You can find more information under "Surroundings").

Since March 2020 we have a new owner with Philip Sauerbier, who knows the house, as well as the region for many years.
Through his fresh way he always sets new impulses and knows through his many years of experience exactly what his guests expect. Together with his team, he always maintains a personal contact with his guests and fulfills their wishes of any kind.

"Feeling at home in a foreign country" - this is our motto. Our hotel offers single and double rooms, junior and deluxe, as well as our exclusive country cottage suites. All rooms are furnished in a cozy country house style, modernly equipped and each have their own individual merits.

All rooms are easily accessible by elevator and each has its own coffee machine in the repertoire. The day starts in the breakfast room with a view of the garden and in the evening we invite you to our cozy brewery. Furthermore, free internet access is available to our guests in all rooms.

We, the team of the Hotel Landhaus Knappmann, work true to the motto "Feeling at home in a foreign country" and want to convey this to our guests. Our friendly team consists of eight employees in the areas of reception, housekeeping, garden maintenance and breakfast service.
